For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows grace and favor and glory - honor, splendor and heavenly bliss! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Aloha Friday! Clothing Optional

From An Island Life:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you'd like to participate with your own question on your own blog, head on over to An Island Life to link up and join the fun!

We're now on day 7 of Ziva's pants strike (ie. she has refused to wear pants for 7 days). Yesterday she escalated to also refusing to wear a shirt. So yes, Ziva is a diaper only girl at the moment. We're referring to her as our resident streaker. We're using duct tape to keep her diaper on, otherwise that would be gone too. Summer is nearly here, so I'm not that worried about her getting cold or anything. But I am wondering how long I can expect this phase to last? Any parents out there with little streakers of their own, please chime in! :)

I always wore overalls as a kid (to hold all my pacifiers) so I have no clue about this naked thing!

Wish I could help!

I don't have any advice either. I do let them run around pantless quite a bit though. Will she wear dresses?

Just make sure they keep their diapers on!!

my sister said that my niece (who's 5) still has moments of running around the house in her undies.

My kids both do this all the time and I just let them. We have a "No answering the door without clothes" rule for the four-year-old (and underwear must always be worn).

Alex likes to take his pants off but this signals he needs a diaper change. he refuses socks, though. he can't stand them. he's our barefoot boy. :)

Oh that is funny. Sorry I can't help other than to say have you tried pull ups?

I think it depends on the child. Hopefully it doesn't last too long for you.

I have to laugh. Oh yes I have a little streaker. I'm happy if she wears a pull up, lol. If I had other kids (especially boys) I probably wouldn't allow it since it would make the others uncomfortable. However, since it is just us I usually do for now. She seems to get that she needs to wear clothes around other people or in public. I just hope that lasts.

No streakers here - But your post cracks me up!

Augh, yes...little streakers! All three of my daughters have a thing about getting "naked." They have never outright refused to wear pants, but if they had their choice - their would be nothing on their little bums.

These "naked phases" will come and go throughout early childhood, so hang in there. She'll put her pants back on eventually! LOL Good luck!

Hahaha i can imagine you chasing her with the duct tape and end up with it all over the places.. laughing my socks off !!! I have no clue, as i'm not a parent, but i guess give her a few more days..plus if the summer comes, this should not be a prob:)
I'm just saying.. I'd loose my sanity in your shoes.. but hey good advice right???:P

That cracks me up! Its summertime, so let them do it and they'll get tired of it eventually!

My son didn't go through that but I'm sure your daughter will get over that phase soon. :)
