For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows grace and favor and glory - honor, splendor and heavenly bliss! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Aloha Friday!

From An Island Life

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you'd like to participate with your own question on your own blog, head on over to An Island Life to link up and join the fun!

Today my Aloha Friday Question is: If you had a weekend in Seattle what would you do?

I think Hubs and I are gonna head that direction in a few weeks. It'll be our very first kid-free weekend since the girls were born! We're nervous, yet excited!

So far I'm thinking about hitting the Sci-Fi Museum and the Museum of Glass, maybe the underground tour, and then in the evenings dinner and maybe a concert or something. The last time I went to Seattle was during my high school concert choir tour, so it's been a while!

Seattle, even though we live in the NW, I haven't been there much, never kid free.

We went to the science center there and it was amazing.

i've never really been out that direction - so i'm not sure what they have to offer.

if i had a weekend away, i think i'd want a spa treatment though. cause its going to be raining outside right?

I've only been to Seattle once so I'd have to do more research but museum's & shopping are always tops.

I have never been to Seattle. I wouldn't know one thing I wanted to see. I live a sheltered life.

Not sure. What is there to do there? I'm sure it would involve lots of exploring if I went.

My Aloha Friday :)

Never been to Seattle - so I have no clue! I'm thinking back to Frasier......space needle, Starbucks. That's all I know...I'd need a good tourist book.

I would highly recommend checking out Gasworks Park. It's one of the most beautiful places in Seattle. Another great spot is an urban beach called Golden Gardens. At night, check out the view of the city from Kerry Park. :)

One of the spots I always hit up when I'm in Seattle is an awesome tiny restaurant called Thai Tom in the U District. Get the Swimming Rama! Mmm... wish I was there now!
